Sam Navab
Sam Navab was the first brother to unearth a passion for rugs. In 1984, the University of Wisconsin-Stout graduate accepted an offer from a fellow Iranian to manage a rug business in Minneapolis. Sam quickly fell in love with rugs, especially the ones from his homeland. In 1988, Navab Brothers was born.
Farzan Navab
Farzan Navab caught the “Rug Bug” from his brother. At the time, Farzan was an artist and filmmaker working at the Minneapolis Institute of Art when Sam invited him into the rug industry. Farzan focused on restoring and repairing timeless, century-old rugs in the company’s early years. He regularly travels to places known for their carpets to meet with artisans and wool manufacturers to provide the best luxury rugs to the Upper Midwest.
